Are You Politically Correct?

Are you politically correct my friend? Or do you even have any idea what it means to be politically correct? Should Christians, who believe in a historical Jesus, who claimed to be ”the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6),” practice this lefty and man-made philosophy?

Before dealing with these questions we must at first know what it means to be politically correct.

One thing is for sure though that Jesus Christ and the apostles clearly didn’t practiced and teached the politically correct ideology (more about this later). This in itself isn’t surprising of course, since the idea of politically correct (PC) didn’t come into fruition until hundreds of centuries later.

PC is the legitimate child of postmodernism which denies any type of absolute truth, especially if the truth proposition derives from Christianity! Again, this should not be a surprise to a Christian, since the notion of PC wasn’t, after all, invented by Christians, but by politically minded, non Christian feminists and left-wing pundits [source]. Therefore, to even think and express that having faith in Christ is the only way to salvation is to fall victim into the hands of PC police.

The main objection or aim for the PC minded is to diffuse and usurps some idea or assertion (true or not) within the context of ethnicity, religion, ethics, journalism and culture that might be discriminatory against some specific types of groups.

Criticizing Islam as religion of suppression by means of linguistically expression, for instance, is politically incorrect. Why? Because, criticizing other faith in general or a religion in particular is totally being intolerant and therefore politically incorrect!

Moreover, to be gender-neutral is to be properly PC. Therefore, to ascribe God as a “he,” or as masculine is another example of being politically incorrect, so to avoid the PC police feminists, Christians should ascribe God anything but the masculine type.

To call, refer or address someone, who is attractive to the same sex as “gay” or “sodomite” might be degrading to him or her. Calling someone a helpless sinner is also wrong according to PC. The term “Christmas” is currently being victimized by PC police because it allegedly offends those who are not accustomed with the term. “Happy Holidays” is far more proper and PC in comparison to ”Merry Christmas.”

While it’s true that not everybody agrees (thankfully) with the fascistic agenda, PC ideology, nevertheless, has encrypted the minds of movie directors, teachers, politicians, philosophers, scientists and even within the minds of Christians. The reason for this is ignorance, and fear from intimidation, discrimination, inquisition and lawsuit for simply being politically incorrect.

What now?

There are many reasons why Christians ought not to be fooled and adopt the PC imperialistic nonsense.

Obviously, the politically correct culture wants you to accept and tolerate everything even if this means compromising your Christian conviction! PC police wishes you to be silent, therefore, criticizing other faiths, morals and culture is deemed intolerant. Since you’re smart, you probably have already equated being PC really amounts with being tolerance.

I must say that this stealthy kind of maneuver has succeeded in freedom of speech censorship! Christians, keep in mind that tolerance is NOT synonymous with love. While you’re being a tolerant person doesn’t mean you’re being loving! The Scripture itself never commanded Christians to be tolerant but to be loving! The Bible differenciates between good and bad, vice and virtue and holy and secular.

Jesus wasn’t tolerant. At least NOT the way the liberal left envisage the meaning of tolerance. He never approached politically correct method when chastising hypocrites. Jesus always exposes lies and deceits which is very uncommon among politically correct  minds! He commanded people turning from their sins and be born again which is too rare if not hardly realised among the “tolerant” mass. Jesus, also told the grave danger and eternal consequence for not believing in him.
