The End Of The World 2012!

I presume that you have watched “doomsday” movies that Hollywood has been producing these past years such as (to name a few) the Day After Tomorrow, Independence Day and the Latest 2012? Quite an entertainment aren’t they?

It takes lots of creativity and fantasy by the creator and director to overwhelm the audiences mind and emotions with drama, suspense and thrill. Quite convincing aren’t they?

I love all these movies as far as CGI, script and entertainment goes.

But none of these two aforementioned Hollywood films that has been recieving a lot of attentions from popular media lately, namely, 2012, which is supposedly derived its apocalypse inspiration from a Mayan Prophecy.

There are various interpretations concerning Mayan eschatology (end time). From a religious perspective, New Agers believes that a new era of a positive physical or spiritual transformation occurs 2012 ( yup, this year).

Aside from New Age future optimism, there are others that actually believes that according to Mayans the calendar ends Dec. 21, 2012 (just a couple of days before Christmas). This means that the world as we know it will come to an end.

The Earth will end up in an unsurpassed destruction either being hit by a large asteroid or by tsunami-like waves that will eventually end all life. This is pretty much depressing and scary. No wonder that many spend millions of dollars building life-saving bunkers. Others have plans, unfortunately, by taking suicide.

So, what looms ahead this year? Is the world going to end? My answer is pretty simple. The world is not going to be evaporated this year as far as the Scripture and science goes!

Besides from the great Flood that has occurred during the days of Noah, the Bible never give a hint about cataclysmic event of the material Earth as part of the end day prophecy. In addition, NASA has debunked the prophecy myth about a planet named Nibiru (supposed discovered by ancient Sumerians) which is supposed to collide with our loving and beautiful Earth 2012.

What most of us doesn’t really know is that Nibiru was prophesied to hit Earth, May, 2003 but as most false prophecies, this event didn’t happened and false prophets have to (of course) redate Earth’s destruction 2012.

If you’re a 2012 devotee, sorry to disappoint you but the Mayans and everybody else are simply wrong about the world ending 2012. The 2012 doomsday prophecy is just one of those (Remember YK2?) bogus claims that has failed miserably many times over.

Great post! I actually avoid watching all of the “dooms day” films and nor do I believe that Dec. 2012 will be the end of the world (although I kind of panicked when I found out that NASA discovered a new planet, which some claim to be Nibiru). I do think that it will be a new beginning. I actually wrote a post about it a few weeks ago. Would love it if you can read it: http://tannideb.wordpress.com/2011/12/21/is-the-world-really-ending-in-2012/
